three big fillets of dry but flavorful dace in a puddle of oil. you can vaguely taste the aromatics, but it benefits from a quick refry (here, with garlic, ginger, and chili on top of jook)

clear why it's a standby! need to try with black beans

very bony, may remove the spine next time---though good to get my calcium in (helps me avoid kidney stones)

for a 2oz serving---one fillet, more or less (net weight is 6oz, i didn't check if that includes the oil): 10g protein, 28g fat, and 3g carb

i feel like they must be including the oil, since dace isn't a very fatty fish
