four or five boneless, skin-on fillets of herring are well speckled with black pepper. smoky, meaty textured, neither dry nor oily even at room temperature.
a big tin---kept a fillet back for a snack tomorrow, a rarity for me. key pantry item
2oz "serving": 11g protein, 5g fat, 0g carbs in 90 kcal (picture is about twice that)
SOME people think there are 3.5 "servings" in a can, but i'd say there's a bit more than one (my tin had about 150g of fish, so just one 40g small fillet left after making this sandwich)
